Conducts entrance examination for Ph.D. Apart from this, students who are JRF holders are excluded from this exam. JRF category students are directly called for interview for Ph.D. JNU has started the application form for PhD for JRF holders from 5th July 2023.

JNU has started the application for PhD Admission 2023-24 for JRF Holders from 5th July 2023. Students who come under JRF category can register themselves by visiting the official website of JNU.

JNU Notice for PhD Admission 2023-24
How to apply for JNU Ph.D.?
Students who want to apply for JNU Ph.D can visit the admission portal of JNU by clicking on the link given above. On this portal you will get all the information related to admission. To apply in JNU a student has to go through the following steps:-
First Step:- First of all, the student has to register himself on the admission portal of JNU and he has to give the details of all the information asked here carefully.
Second step:- In this step, the student will have to give information related to his subject, as well as under this, the student will have to give all his qualifications and all the information related to the subject in which he wants admission for PhD.
Third step:- In this the student has to carefully pay the fee prescribed by JNU for their form. The student can make his payment till August 4 (11:50 pm) 2023. The student’s application will be accepted only after the payment is made otherwise his/her form will be treated as cancelled.
Students can fill JNU Ph.D form in above 3 steps and apply in Ph.D for 2023-24.
JNU Non- JRF Category Application Form ?
To do PhD from JNU, the student should have done M.A in the concerned subject. Such students can apply for PhD in JNU. For such type of students entrance exam is conducted by JNU. Students who clear this entrance test are further called to JNU campus for interview.
JNU uploads the list of all the students who appeared in the interview on its official website. Along with this, ‘Congratulation‘ is also written in front of the names of those students who have been selected in the PhD program of JNU this time.
JNU will update the application for all other students soon (by second week of August) on its official website. Students keep visiting the website from time to time.
